Amanda Brugel
Pointe Claire, a quiet neighborhood located in the West Island of Montreal is what you might call a "sleepy" place. The people who aren't familiar with this term tend to think it's a separate island somewhere in the west of Montreal but in fact the West Island is home to every aspect of Lachine west to the Lachine city. Lachine west. Many times, it is credited as the location of birth of Amanda Brugel but while that is the case, her time there was short. Brugel developed on Courtice close to Oshawa located in Ontario. Her first ambition was to be a dancer. However, a growth spurt caused her to outgrow her dance partners she had. In an article from The Toronto Star she admitted In heels, I'm 6'1 inch. When I outgrew my male companions, I quit. The Brugel is one of the former dancers who turned to acting. The teacher she had at high school encouraged her in the right direction. She was recommended by a teacher to get a role for school's annual play. She auditioned and eventually got the role of the main character of Anne of Green Gables. When she was awarded the Fine Arts Talent Scholarship, she enrolled in York University and earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree in 2000. In the last 20 years, her roles on TV and the big screen have been numerous. The character of Rita from the award winning show The Handmaid's Tale was her most memorable. Brugel was the sole Canadian actor on the show in the season 1 which was viewed only occasionally.
